Final Portfolio Assessment "Report Card" Post

1. In Senior P.E. i feel that my participation has been lacking for one reason and that is because i am not present. But when i do attend, i try very hard and give the activities my all. I do come to class with my pe strip every class otherwise i think there is no point of coming. When i come to class i do have to leave early at times cause of work and i dont get the same endurance as everyone else.

2. During choice days i try to set up teams and then i get the younger kids involved in sports that they dont usually play. In badminton and volleyball i teamed up with a few people in our class and we usually disagree on everything but we actually talked to eachother, came up with a plan, and worked together to win so many games (badminton)

3. I go to the gym everyday after school if i dont have work. I try to eat healthy and minimize the amount of fast food i eat by packing my lunch for work.In the future years i hope to start assisting in coaching community teams to stay in shape and give back to my community. 

4. My digital portfolio is not done very well effecting my mark. i could have possibly tried harder in this area particularly. 

i deserve 70% (c+) for the reasons above.

Report card

Up to this point in the semester, i deserve a 75% because i try really hard when it is fitness days and i usually try my best to keep a positive attitude . I loved the skating field trip we had. I taught mandeep how to skate because he couldn't even stand on the ice at first but after guiding him he was able to skate from one side of the rink to other without the metal support thing. However i feel like i can come to class quicker. I spend too much time waiting for food at lunch at restaurants. I could bring lunch from home or take drive through to fix this.

PE Final

 This is my pe final video. It consists clips of activities i participated in during this semester. These clips tell my story because it has everything i did has all the workouts i did, actvities i participated in on the choice days and the stuff we did on fitness days and a few things i eat at home. i would give my self an 86% because i showed up majority of the time had my gym strip and was ready to participate in activities and self motivated my self on fitness days but a few times i did get lazy and chilled on the choice days. things i could have done better were participating in other activities like handball, indoor soccer and basketball . Activities i perferred to participate in were baseball, hockey, ping pong and working out in the weightroom. stuff i did at home/outside of school that had to do with pe was go to the gym and try to  maintain a healthy diet and sometimes played badminton. In the video i demonstrated leadership by showing that i clean upafter myself in the weightroom. Stuff i left out was getting friends to workout and cleaning up after other activities. Things that i liked about pe were the fact that you get to experience new things, get out of your comfort zone and you learn to motivate yourself . At school my video was not publishing so i had to delete the video from windows movie maker and bring the clips home and do it again and i had to get my eyes checked which i can explain in person. And lastly i would like to thank Mr Neufeld for the great semester, taking us to field trips and changing the pe system and teaching us to take responsibility for ourselves ..http://youtu.be/MrvS1LMPyPo

A day in pe class

 On a regular day of pe class its usually people goofing around (sometimes me too) and on fitness days we work hard. At the beginning of class everyones just chilling and some people just chill in the changerooms and most of the time im late to class but i do try to come early. Neuf sees all the goofing around  and the foul language but hes an understanding teacher but when he feels were going too far he does tell us. When the principal comes (i usually see him on fitness days) i think he sees us working hard for the most part but i think hes always just looking for the kids doing wrong so i dont know what he says

what do you want?

Yesterday in the weight room i worked on abs and core strength. My exercises situps, crunch, plank, leg raises, flutter kicks, 6 inches, sliders, pull ins, side to side obliques. on my plank i set my new personal best which was 2 minutes and before it was lower because i never worked on my core strength. On most of them i did 3 sets but on the plank i only did 2. When im choosing my workouts i am thinking about what my weaknesses are and what i need to work on. when i do research i just search up workouts on google and see what peoples reviews are on them.There are also posts by other people sharing their workouts and giving new ideas. When i chose my order i chose sit ups and crunchs so i can warm up my abs then i do a plank and maxed out. My workout was tough for me because i barely work on my core and i was going all out on the plank which got me tired. It was not fun because i hate doing abs and core but i sucked it up because you have to do it one day or another. What did go well was the pull ins because i couldnt do all the reps and it was hard. I think it was worth going to the weightroom because i atleast got a ab and core workout

REPORT CARD

In this semester I have been successful at coming to class in gym strip with shorts and runners. Another thing ive been successful at is trying new sports and getting out of my comfort zone. So far I had 2 absences but I always try to make the effort to show up to class but my main problem can be showing up on time. My average exertion level is high most of the time when i start to play sports because in team sports i get competitive and try to do whatever to win. Towards the class I havent really contributed to the overall positive atmosphere because I was new this year and i didnt really know anyone so i was more focused on gettting to know everyone and all. Ways i showed positive leadership was going with Mandeep to the weightroom and showing him workouts and different exercizes. Goals i have set are I want to be as fit as i used be and have higher scores on beep tests and be able to complete the runs. So far in pe I have been trying to push myself on fitness days so I can complete my goals and outside of pe i have been doing cardio in the gym. One thing i learned in pe was how out of shape I am and how i need to start pushing myself more to get back in shape. I think an accurate grade for pe this year would be a 85% because i have been showing up everyday to pe in gym strip ready to work hard but i have been late and 2 absences would make me lose marks. I think to get a higher mark i would need to show up to class on time in strip and ready to play hard.
